Thanks for this great footage (and sound quality). Missed the coverage when it was breaking, but now it's even better when viewed with a suitable tune to accompany it(I tried 'Propaganda - Jewelled (Duel/Jewel re-mix)' from about 2:25 into your video & it seems to fit very nicely). Many thanks again from a long-time Class 43 (HST) fan.

despite the heavy price for a system like this, the investment would be well worth it. TGV or Maglev. They're fast, attractive, and both systems are safe. Not a single fatality on any TGV, or Maglev in commercial service. This train would have broken the absolute train speed record had it been given a few more miles to work with.

TGV's are cool trains and fastest in the world on "TRACKS" cause Maglev is not train on tracks it's magnetic so it's not competiting with TGV because TGV is classical rail train not the air or magnetic like Maglevmaking Maglev is very expensev compared to TGV

Wouhou, stop to be jealous, french are leading high speed train.
pumpofthevolume (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
it is planned to reach average comercial speed of 360km/h , the sncf tested it already, to see if increasing speed was worthing on such distance the cost! in 2011 the AGV will run cruise speeds of 360km/h in italy, and not toping at one point this speed as the valero heavy ice does actually in spain, you seems to be falsly informated dude!
