I know what you're saying and I agree that there are American classics and Icons that inspire new generations of music. But when I hear "my bad girlfriend" 500 times in 3 hrs I start to understand how crappy radio is...dont even get me started on Lil Wayne.I'm just glad I can tell my kids one day about Muse and how they actually knew how to play instruments because probably in the future everything will be on computers with buttons for notes ... if it already isnt now.

I don't know that I necessarily agree with you. Perhaps the newer artists lack creativity, but some of the oldest American icons that still put out good music, in addition to the even older ones that don't produce anything new but have libraries of untouchable stuff, have really defined what American music is. There is such a thing as non-"mainstream" American music.But yeah, Muse is something different altogether. I hope they never stop doing what they're doing.

why are people comparing muse and killers i am a massive muse fan and also a major killers fan i prefer muse but there differnt sounds but i gotta say muse are alot more talented and i personally think killers have started sounding going synth pop whihc im not too keen on
