"Better than ever in Widescreen"? If it was originally filmed in widescreen, yes. But it wasn't so they cut off the top and bottom of the picture instead. I hate when people try to mess with movies like that.

the book was actually based on the populist party, dorothys silver slippers represted the silver that the populist wanted and the yellow brick road represented the gold and the wicked withc of the east represented eastern banks
