This incident was video recorded by Simon Lowe. 233 people where on board this jet bound for Lanzarote. The number 2 engine sucks in one bird (a crow or corvid) as the plane rotates off the runway.T.V. news reports of two herons being sucked in are wrong.Congratulations to the crew and air-traffic controllers for the calm and professional way they dealt with the situation. Besides the fact the frontal cockpit section is typical airbus styling, all 757s have two over wing exits on each side of the fuselage. If you look at the plane when it taxies back to the cameras location you can see it does not have those paired overwing exits.
